I’ve had these sweet glamorous vintage looking frames for several years now and they have hung empty because I simply couldn’t figure out the right thing to put in them. So this year I figured out I wanted vintage sheet music which I printed myself with a child’s silhouette on it for each frame. I have a boy and two girls, just like my children.
Aside from the far right, the misc. non matching frames were gifts but I love picture frame ornaments just the same. So these all got plain sheet music in them. Some red and some antiqued. I plan to buy a few more in black for the tree this year as well that will get different colors of sheet music in them.
Here are some book wreaths I started to make as ornaments. Miss Mustard seed started making sheet music ornaments that I just loved but I don’t have any sheet music at the moment so I started toying with different designs out my book papers.
This was my first attempt at a hanging ornament wreath but it ended up about the size better suited for a tree topper. Whoops! It will hang inside the front door. I also bought red poinsettias to go in the middles but you get the idea with this carnation.
This was more like it. Crazy I had to cut my pages down 1x2in pieces! My fingers could hardly stand to wrap those tiny cones! But I love how it turned out, about the size of my hand and I am making 7 more! That’s only 200 miniature cones, I can do it! LOL
These were really fun and I am making 8 of these as well. Some of them will have the famous Christmas flower on them but I will mix em’ up with berries and flowers on each. I trimmed the edges of these with some craft scissors to give it some extra flair. I may spray them with some glitter as well.
And here is my sons tree I stole out of the storage, put in my pretty topiary pot and I'm starting to think he might not get it back! Haha, poor kids.
My Christmas garland. I was super impressed with this. Though it’s tiny, each snowflake is about the size of the palm of my hand. It will find it’s final resting place on my entry way mirror but it’s currently decorated with fall leaves =)
Here is a closer shot…
And closest. I cut all of these out with my fabulous silhouette machine. I love that thing! Oh and did I mention it snowed for the first time this season last night! Now I’m really in the mood to get that tree up!
*Note* I did finish up some of the ornaments and posted updated pictures, in case you were confused!
