Open For Business

Woohoo!  Designer Garden is officially open for business on Etsy as of today.  The winner of the new URL for the blog is www.mydesignergarden.com.  Thank you for all your input!  The new URL is not rerouted to the blog just yet but I will let you know when.  You can also email me now at sommer@mydesignergarden.com!  Soon I will have a matching banner and avatar and all the bells and whistles over at the shop that the blog has.  I’m working on filling it up but there are already a few cute things for sale if you want to take a look.  Here is a little peak of what I’ve been working on =)

I had a hay day at my local scrapbooking store called Archivers.

Then while I was at Home Depot I asked the kitchen and bath designer who her supplier was for the laminate counter top sample chips.  We got to talking and here is what she sent me away with.

Over 200 soon to be discontinued sample chips!  Can you believe there are people who put some of these in their homes?  Look at that turquoise and how about the salmon?! Yikes!

And here is the true sneak peak…

So hurry along and go tell me what you think of the shop.  Please be kind ;P  And here is a list of other items you can find in the shop soon.

  • French Script on 4in Linen Ribbon
  • Miniature Dress Forms
  • Pillow covers
  • Wine bottle holders
  • Table Runners
  • Canisters
  • And more…

Very pretty! Your photos and displays are striking. I am waiting for more products, although I do like the chalkboard formica sample pieces. Ann

What a really creative use of throways sample chips. Believe it or not, I saw Salmon Sile Stone in a house once. It was pretty, pretty scary I should say. Heading to your shop. Huge Congratulations! Hope you sell out!

Yikes! I think we can see why those colors are thankfully being discontinued! You sure turned those ugly samples into something pretty and useful. I love the way you displayed the tags in that last picture!
