Please Welcome A Pinch Of Joy!
Angels, poinsettias and tradition. Red, white and gold. Themes for Christmas at Chez Charlene this year. The slightly crooked candles are from our wedding and usually make an appearance somewhere each year - tradition. I love to make wreaths! They wander around the house, showing up in different places from Christmas to Christmas.
The first thing people notice about our tree is the curlies. We've been putting (the same plus more) curlies on our tree forever. Some years they look like frosting; other years they look like Swiss cheese. This year is a Swiss cheese year. What can I say? With traditions, you have to be tolerant like that.
Our tree is a has a lot of unique ornaments. These two little boys can be found at the top of the tree every year. They were made by a very talented friend when Bytes and his brother were small -- look just like them! Christmas is a built in time to indulge in remembrances of friends and family and the ways they touched our lives.Just to keep all that tradition shook up. . . a contemporary arrangement in the dining room!
