Fit for a princess

My first big girl bedroom is nearly complete.  Still a few little touches that need to go into place but it's coming together.  As I was in bed this morning watching recorded episodes of my soap opera (who watches Days? Anyone?) because being in the garage all the time I never take time to watch it... I came across a movie in the dvr I had recorded months ago.  I was folding laundry watching TV thinking, it would be so nice to watch this movie in my new bed!

Being the neurotic impatient project person I am, I decided after looking at the clock endlessly today waiting for Mr Garden to get off work that I just couldn't wait any longer. I disassembled the bed from the garage and drug it into the house piece by piece with my beautiful girls holding doors and moving things out of the way.

I'm pretty sure (but not positive) I put it back together properly.  For all I know the whole damn thing could collapse as soon as we lay on it lol.  But it looked beautiful enough to share today =)

Here she is before I started.

And today...

I don't know why but you can't really see the glaze in these pictures very well on the headboard.  It's there I promise!

And here is the last remaining piece of bedroom furniture I have from moving out of my parents house 13 years ago.  I'm still waiting for that perfect french provincial style dresser to show up for the right price =)

Yes that is a black drape in the doorway there.  That is the bathroom back there and I hate the lights in the morning when Mr Garden is getting ready.  Hey you gotta improvise when your a renter!

I love the whole feel of this room. The wardrobe is 2 die 4...especially with the numbered drawers! That bed looks like it was a beast to paint!

What would we do without paint?! It's definitely one of my favorite project "tools"! That bed looks fit for a queen now. ;)
