Mommy's Room Reveal!

As excited as I have been to share this with you... it's late and I leave early in the morning for Cancun.  So this is now a post of little words.  I probably wouldn't have the right ones anyway to describe how I feel about my big girl room.  It's complete minus a few finishing touches, like a big fluffy black rug, some pictures on the walls etc...

I never want to leave this room.  I adore it with everything in me.  This is looking in from the door.

To the left of the bed. I haven't updated the picture but it now has black glass knobs.

The top of the wardrobe.  I'm thinking I'll try out some crackle and stain on the milk jug for a more aged patina.

The nightstand on the left of the bed.  I love this lamp.  I bought it at a local antique shop.

And I never tire of waking up seeing my boy kissing his baby sister goodbye on his first day of kindergarten.  Even though she was the one starting school this year.

My last and final piece to complete the set.

Missing two middle ring pulls.  I am searching for the perfect ones to replace them.

I have always loved this saying.  I didn't have the extra moola or patience to wait for a pretty little vinyl in the mail so I made my own with a paint pen.  Not perfect but mine =)  I also added the blue ribbon for a splash of color in a room that is all black and white!
I made this from a cabinet door.

These live in my formal dining room in the spring.  But they fit nicely here for now.  I love shopping my own house! Did I mention I've fallen in love with milk glass?  I have started collecting.  Another post for another day.

I love the blogs I've seen with the old books that have no covers all bound up with twine.  Well I didn't have any old books or ones that I was willing to tear apart so I wrapped mine up with some raffia with the spines in tact.  I actually really like the color it brings into the room.

Lastly the other dresser in my collection.  Fits my candelabra perfectly.  I have plans for the wall above I will show you in the future.  This whole room is vaulted ceiling so there is lots of wall space!

I'm Linking up with: Primitive & Proper  and Miss Mustard Seed  for her....

beautiful! i especially love the armoire that doesn't match the dressers as it adds interest with a different shape and the numbered drawers are great. the entire room is just elegant and lovely!

Thank you everyone! I'm still looking for new bedding which I want in white but I'm fighting to find the right color to tie in. I guess I'll just know when it's right =)
