Not Your Ordinary Garage Sale

This weekend was a really fun glimpse into my future.  I have been busting my tail organizing, refinishing and prepping for our upcycle sale over the last week.  I’m happy and relieved to say it was all worth it.  The sale was a huge success and now I get to go play at Ikea all week and go treasure hunting so I can do it all over again!

Mrs. Type A herself called me last week to let me know she had looked into a retail space nearby.  The price sounds right on.  So all weekend we’ve been giddy at the thought of opening an actual storefront space!  Tomorrow we are going to look at it.  We had so many lovely ladies stop by our sale this weekend who told us we will do great in a shop and they love what we’ve made.  Maybe I’m a bit high and mighty but I’m thinking “That’s right baby, be the rock star you are!”

I’m sad that I got so wrapped up in the sale it wasn’t until many things sold that I realized I’d forgotten to take pictures!  It was a long week.  In fact I cannot recall the last time I worked this hard.  Now I’m sick.  Thank goodness it didn’t hit me last week.

There were still many items that didn’t sell.  Mostly in part because we were taking advantage of the traffic from my communities garage sale and we were priced like a boutique.  But I figure hey… I still have many lovely little places in my home to stash these goodies until they find a home in our new shop!!!

I also am missing many photo’s that ended up being shot on Tammy’s camera.  So run over to Type A and bug her to email them to me ;P

Check the blog tomorrow.  I’m left out a few of the really neat projects we did like the lemonade stand, reupholstered chairs and a fun little dresser, so that I could give them the attention they deserve =)
