Who Likes “Free”?

Or maybe the better question would be who doesn’t right?  So being a Gemini I am by nature easily distracted.  I find something that intrigues me and I do a bunch of research on it and I get into it hot and heavy and then whoa… squirrel!  Did you see it?  Over there!  Something else catches my attention.

My husband is actually quite impressed I’ve stuck with the furniture refinishing for this long.  And a couple months ago I got into Crossfit which I’m totally loving by the way.  I have not given up on it.  But being the cheapskate I am snagging furniture off peoples curbs and turning it for a profit, I’ve recently found a new thrifty interest.

Couponing.  I know we have all used them from time to time or even regularly through our grocery shopping trips.  But I’m talking the EXTREME COUPONING where people walk out of the store with baskets of stuff for less than $50.

It totally intrigues me.  I want to figure it out and master it.  And then I’m sure I’ll loose interest and something else will grab hold of me.  But in the meantime as I research this crazy activity I found something I couldn’t pass up sharing with you all.

ADIDA’s Outlet: Free Men’s underwear or Tee’s

Screen-shot-2011-06-07-at-9_00_23-PM

Just in time for fathers day!  If your on a budget and you have an outlet nearby you can go pick up a pack of tighty whities for your man for FREE.  The fine print says no purchase necessary =) So take this coupon into your nearest Adidas Outlet for a free pack of tee’s or underwear.  Valid until 6/14.

I think this couponing thing just might pay off!  I’m going to get my man some tee’s tomorrow ;P

Dude, I'm so with you. On couponing, on snagging free furniture, on being easily distracted. Not so much on Crossfit. I'm interested, I really am. But I hate sweating. Seriously I can't get over the gross factor it.

I have been couponing for years now but living in CA makes extreme couponing hard. We don't have double coupon days. I wish. Seriously. I'm so lame, I mean awesome, I dreamed about it one night. Check out Saving Well, Spending Less (http://www.savingwellspendingless.com/) if you haven't already. Ruth makes my couponing life so much easier.

Please don't take your cues from TLC's Extreme Couponing show, that's all hyped up and unrealistic. There are tons of great blogs out there that teach the basics and provide sales lists with coupon matchups. Try out Southernsavers.com. You might not live in the south, but she covers LOTS of stores and she has a great "newbie" section where she teaches about getting started.

I'm with you on couponing. wouldn't it be so nice to walk out of a grocery store with a cart full, for 50 bucks!! my grocery bill is high, now that my kids are out for summer break.
